Chen Lu

Chen Lu serves as a Principal UX Designer at GE Appliances, a Haier company, having progressed through various roles since December 2014. Responsibilities include managing a team of six UX designers and overseeing the UX design for numerous hardware and mobile app projects, including the expansion of the SmartHQ IoT app across multiple product lines. Chen successfully led the design of the Kitchen Hub, contributing to GE Appliances' entry into the smart display market. Prior to this role, Chen developed the company's first LCD cooking UI system and defined a cohesive UX strategy integrating multiple appliances and apps. Chen's early experience includes an Interaction Design Internship at GE Appliances. Educational background includes a Master of Fine Art in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University.
