Steve Root

Steve Root is a Technical Director at GE Appliances, a Haier company, with over 20 years of experience in embedded systems hardware and software design. Previously, they served as a Manager of Embedded Software Development at General Electric and worked as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on refrigeration electronics. Steve started their career as a Senior Electronics Engineer at MPD Inc., where they became a recognized expert in breath alcohol detection technology. They hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville.
