Victoria Steele

Victoria Steele has a strong background in software engineering, specifically in the field of power electronics. Victoria has worked for GE Appliances, a Haier company, since 2015. Their roles at GE Appliances include Director of Software Engineering, Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer, all with a focus on power electronics.

In these roles, Victoria has been responsible for developing and maintaining software for various product lines, such as air and small appliances. Victoria has also served as a technical consultant and lead developer for power electronics software.

Victoria has extensive experience in optimizing code execution time, micro resources, and inner source software use. Victoria has also participated in FMEA and root cause analysis related to inverters and microcontrollers.

In addition to their technical responsibilities, Victoria has mentored junior team members and established Agile practices and test-driven development within their team. Victoria has also collaborated with product stakeholders to gather requirements and estimate timelines.

Prior to joining GE Appliances, Victoria completed the Edison Engineering Development Program for Software at General Electric. During this program, they obtained a Masters of Science in Engineering and developed object-oriented embedded firmware for various product lines, including washers, dryers, cooktops, and ranges.

Victoria Steele completed their Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida between 2007 and 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Louisville from 2013 to 2015.
