Charles Ogbonna

Charles Ogbonna is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the gas power sector. Currently serving as a Mechanical Field Engineer and Technical Field Advisor at GE Vernova since October 2023, Charles provides technical leadership during outages, overseeing disassembly, installation, and commissioning of gas turbines while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and quality standards. Previously, as a Mechanical Supervisor at FieldCore Service Solutions International LLC from June 2018 to September 2023, Charles managed the disassembling and reassembling processes for gas power plant upgrades. Earlier roles included Project Site Coordinator at Alstom Thermal Services Nigeria Limited, Mechanical Superintendent at Rockson Engineering Company, and Mechanical Supervisor at the same company, where Charles coordinated mechanical operations and ensured compliance with project specifications. Charles began a career in engineering as a Mechanical Maintenance Trainee Engineer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and gained foundational experience in construction supervision during a mandatory service year with NYSC.
