Marcelo Souza

Marcelo Souza is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in control software development for turbomachinery and a strong background in technical training and capability management. Currently serving as a Sr Controls Engineer at GE Vernova since April 2023, Marcelo focuses on developing control software for aeroderivative gas turbines. Prior to this role, Marcelo was a Senior Software Development Engineer at Nexus Controls from January 2020 to March 2023, contributing to global turbomachinery control solutions. Marcelo's earlier positions include Training and Technical Capability Leader at Baker Hughes, where responsibilities encompassed technical training and management for global engineering teams, and various leadership roles at GE, including LA Technology Leader for Measurement and Controls and Engineering Manager.
