Wendi Tao

Wendi Tao brings extensive experience in government affairs, policy development, and climate change initiatives. Most recently, Wendi held the position of Head of Government Affairs and Policy at GE Vernova China from April 2020 to August 2023, where responsibilities included strategy development and public relations. Prior to this role, Wendi served as Director of Government Affairs and Policy at the same company. Wendi's background also includes significant work as a Coal Cap Analyst and Lead of the Green Belt and Road Project at the Natural Resource Defense Council, and as a Senior Program Manager at the US-CHINA Energy Cooperation Program. Wendi began a career in project management at the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office within China's Ministry of Environmental Protection. Wendi holds a Master's degree in Environmental Economics and Policy from Peking University.
