Shyamkumar MS

Shyamkumar MS has over 12 years of professional experience in the telecom industry. Shyamkumar started their career in 2006 as a BSS Operations Engineer at Idea Cellular Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for network uptime, maintenance of base stations and transmission network, network upgradation and inventory management for spares. Shyamkumar then moved up to become an Assistant Manager in Network Planning, where they were responsible for network coverage and capacity planning for cell sites, as well as improving customer experience through optimization of network coverage and capacity. After that, they became a Manager in Network Quality, where they were responsible for network KPI analysis, generation of BI reports and web dashboards, and customer complaint and churn analysis. Shyamkumar then moved up to become the Vertical Head in Network Quality, where they were responsible for telecom analytics, process automations, digital transformation and regulatory compliance, as well as analysing large data from various sources like OSS and Call centres and generating meaningful insight for improving customer experience. In 2018, they joined GeakMinds, Inc as an Assistant Vice President in Next Gen Technologies. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Data Science and Advanced Analytics team, delivering PoCs for proving Business value of Machine Learning solutions, and leading the Marketing team working on improving Brand Value and Presence. Shyamkumar was later promoted to Director in Next Gen Technologies.

Shyamkumar MS completed their B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from the University of Kerala between 2002 and 2006. Shyamkumar then went on to pursue their MS in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2008 to 2010. Shyamkumar also attended Loyola School Thiruvananthapuram prior to their university education.
