Simone Keijzer has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of design and interaction. Simone is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gearbox, a company that develops digital employees for growers, breeders, and traders. Prior to this, Simone founded Don't Push The Button, a design studio specializing in creating smart interfaces for web and software applications. Simone has also worked as an Interaction Designer at Ortec Finance and Inter IKEA Systems B.V. Additionally, Simone has lectured on Interaction Design and UX Design at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and has been a Managing Partner at eBrella Interactive Professionals. Simone has also worked on various freelance projects as a Lead UX/Interaction Designer and has previous experience as the owner of Simone Creations, a design studio. Simone's skills and experience span a wide range of industries, including high tech, industrial IoT, and web applications.

Simone Keijzer started their education at Christelijk Lyceum Delft (CLD) from 1998 to 2003, where they studied Economics & Society. Following that, they attended the Willem de Kooning Academy, Hogeschool Rotterdam, from 2003 to 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Multimedia Design. During their time at Hogeschool Rotterdam, they also spent a year studying Interaction Design at Ravensbourne University London from 2005 to 2006.

Gearbox Innovations is a create smart products which simplify, improve or accelerate daily work. They do this with a new generation of image analyses, efficient workstations, robotics and smart software. Together with our clients, we create prototypes out of ideas to test them for usability, feasibility, and ‘smartness’, in order to subsequentlydevelop them into the desired product. This also allows for customisation, whereby we combine our broad knowledge and experience in High Tech industries with a practical and incremental approach.
