Dan Hewitt is the current Chief Communications Officer at Gearbox Software. Prior to their current role, Dan served as Head of Communications at Gearbox Entertainment, where they oversaw Gearbox's media work, online engagement, event management, and customer support activities using best-in-class standards, technology, and measurement processes. Dan also launched an executive reputation management campaign, including securing speaking engagements, generating earned media coverage of those events, and implementing SEO strategies. Dan has also been responsible for employee engagement, bridging the gap between leaders and stakeholders, and delivering strategic analysis of communications implications of corporate deliberations by streamlining all aspects of internal communications.

Dan has over 20 years of experience in the communications field. Dan holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
