Robert Fernandez

Robert Fernandez is a highly experienced professional in the field of motion capture and digital media, currently serving as the Mocap Stage Lead at Gearbox Entertainment since April 2018. In this role, Robert oversees all mocap stage hardware, leads stage research and development, and supervises facial motion capture sessions. Previous positions at Gearbox Software include Senior Facial Motion Capture Technician and Facial Motion Capture Technician, where responsibilities encompassed managing stage equipment, ensuring data quality during shoots, and setting up audio and livestreaming for remote directing. Robert also holds a Master of Science in Digital Media and a Bachelor’s Degree in Game Art and Production from Drexel University, complemented by experience in education as a Teacher Assistant and in game design as a Level Designer at Sweet Roll Studio LLC. Other notable roles include mentorship in robotics and event organization for cancer research fundraising at Dartmouth College.
