Qiangjun Zhang

Qiangjun Zhang is a software engineer at Gearset. Qiangjun previously worked as a researcher associate at The University of Manchester from October 2018 to March 2021. Qiangjun designed a simulation program for fire detection and suppression and improved the runtime performance by 75% using MPI. Qiangjun reduced the false positive rate by 80% by using machine learning optimization. Qiangjun also mentored two master students for dissertation.

Dr. Qiangjun Zhang received their PhD in Mechanical, Aerospance and Civil Engineering from The University of Manchester. Qiangjun also holds a Master's degree from University of Science and Technology of China and a Bachelor's degree from China University of Mining and Technology.

They are on a team with Antoine Poullet - Software Engineer, Matthew Urbanowski - Salesforce Developer, and Aaron Law - Software Engineer. Qiangjun Zhang reports to Luke Drury, Head, Engineering.
