Katy Farrell has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Katy started their career as a Circulation Assistant at Euclid Public Library in 2009. Katy then worked at the Lucy Burns Institute, where they held various roles such as Staff Writer, State Courts Project Director, Associate Editor, and Editor at Judgepedia. During their time at the Institute, they contributed to content creation, implemented error tracking systems, and created news products. In 2015, Katy worked as a Legal Assistant at The Dann Law Firm, where they assisted clients with case information and document management. Katy then moved on to Forbes House, serving as a Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator and later as an Assistant Director, wherein they established partnerships and supervised staff. Currently, Katy is working at Geauga County Public Library, where they have held several roles including Head of Adult Services/Assistant Manager, Manager of Mobile Services, and Branch Manager. In these positions, they oversaw operations, managed teams, developed outreach programs, and organized adult programming.

Katy Farrell completed their B.A. degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 2006. Katy later pursued higher education, earning their Master's of Library and Information Science degree from Kent State University between 2015 and 2017.
