Joseph Elzer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in robotics and hardware engineering. Currently serving as Hardware Engineering Team Lead at Gecko Robotics since January 2024, Joseph manages a cross-functional team focused on developing robotic solutions for the US Navy. Prior roles include Senior Electrical Engineer and Principal Product Engineer at Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation, where Joseph led engineering efforts for the Guardian XM robotic manipulator and established product-engineering workflows. At RE2 Robotics, Joseph held multiple positions, including Senior Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included managing electrical engineering personnel and driving product development. Earlier experiences include roles at Caterpillar Inc. and various positions within RE2 Robotics, encompassing low-level debugging and advanced electrical design.
