Erkan Akten

He was born in 1962 in Istanbul. After graduating from Vefa High School, he completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. Later, he completed his MBA in Business Administration at Boğaziçi University and is currently pursuing his PhD in Business Administration at Istanbul University. Between June 1985 and August 1988, he worked as a research assistant at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, on marketing, finance and organization. He is a member of the board of directors at Gedik Holding, the institution he still works for. Gedik Holding A.S. He is the manager of finance and financial affairs departments in his subsidiaries. National and international non-governmental organizations of which it is a member and undertakes duties; I.T.U. Foundation, ITU Management Engineering Alumni Association, Boğaziçi University Alumni Association.
