Field Application Engineer at Geek+

Richard Liu has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Richard began their career as a Summer Intern at The Johns Hopkins University in 2019, where they researched and improved the performance of a new network structure. Richard then worked as a Research Assistant at ShanghaiTech University, where they designed and maintained the research group's homepage and conducted research on multitask multiview machine learning.

In 2021, Richard interned as a Full Stack Engineer at chemBlink Inc., where they translated a website to improve its performance and maintained its connection to the database. Richard also worked as a Research Assistant at Penn State University, where they developed high-performance network structures for video tasks.

In 2022, Richard joined MEDA.OOO as an AI Developer Intern, and later as an AI Developer. Richard constructed a Lip-Audio synchronization AI and trained a network to classify hairstyles.

In 2023, Richard worked at ForwardX Robotics as a Deployment Engineer, where they deployed and updated robots based on SLAM and computer vision techniques. Richard also tested system integration with warehouse management systems and manipulated databases using SQL.

Currently, Richard is working as a Field Application Engineer at Geek+, starting in 2023.

Overall, Richard Liu has gained experience in a variety of technical roles, including research, development, and engineering, in both academic and industry settings.

Richard Liu completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science at ShanghaiTech University from 2016 to 2020. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at Penn State University, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Richard Liu has also obtained certifications in React.js from W3Schools.com in August 2022, and in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in June 2019.
