Du Liu

Du Liu is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in motor control and E-Drive system development for electric and hybrid vehicles. Currently serving as Senior Chief Engineer at GEELY since July 2018, Du Liu leads the engineering team responsible for developing a three-in-one E-Drive system and oversees various technical and managerial aspects including motor control module design and ISO 26262 functional safety compliance. Prior roles include Chief Engineer and Software Manager at Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., where Du Liu focused on software development for PHEV and EV systems, and Senior Motor Control Software Design Engineer at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, developing motor control systems for electric vehicles. Du Liu’s career spans over two decades, with foundational experience in software engineering and control systems at notable companies including Continental Automotive Systems, Ballard Power System, and Ford Motor Company. Du Liu holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on System Control from Chongqing University.
