Sidney Edwards

Sidney Edwards is a seasoned theatre education professional currently serving as a Theatre Education Specialist at Geffen Playhouse since August 2023. Concurrently, Sidney holds the position of Site Director at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy since June 2022. Previous roles include Director of the African American Theatre Program and Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville from July 2020 to June 2023, along with various teaching artist positions at notable organizations such as Karamu House and PlayhouseSquare. Sidney's experience in performance, direction, and education is supported by a Master of Fine Arts in Performance, Theatre Arts from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from William Peace University.
