Davide Alghisi

Davide Alghisi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Davide is currently the Head of R&D Position Sensors at Gefran, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Innovation Manager at the same company starting from September 2018.

Before joining Gefran, Alghisi worked at Università degli Studi di Brescia, where they held the positions of Assistant Professor and Research Fellow. As an Assistant Professor, they started in February 2015 and worked until September 2018. As a Research Fellow, they were involved in two different projects related to warning systems for structural monitoring of buildings and metro infrastructure, as well as battery-less smart sensors for air quality diagnostic.

In addition to their academic roles, Alghisi also worked as a self-employed Electronics Engineer from September 2016 to August 2018. Davide also briefly served as an External Consultant at TPI S.n.c. di Crescini Paolo e C. in 2016 and 2015.

Alghisi's earlier experience includes working as an External Consultant at CSMT Gestione S.c.a.r.l. from May 2011 to December 2012, where they collaborated with the Department of Information Engineering of the Università degli Studi di Brescia on the design and realization of a wearable heart rate monitor for sport activities. Davide also served as a Technical Consultant at Elis Solare S.r.l. from June 2006 to December 2008.

Davide Alghisi's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2014, Davide attended Università degli Studi di Brescia, where they pursued a Ph.D. course in Electronic Engineering, Sensors, and Instrumentation.

In 2011, they also obtained a Professional Engineer license at Università degli Studi di Brescia, specializing in the Information field.

Prior to their Ph.D. course, from 2008 to 2010, Davide completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronics Engineering at Università degli Studi di Brescia.

In 2005, Davide received their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Information Engineering from the same university.

Before starting their university education, from 2000 to 2005, Davide attended Istituto Salesiano San Bernardino - Chiari (BS), where they completed their secondary school education in Liceo Scientifico.

In addition to their formal education, Davide Alghisi also obtained certification as a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer from National Instruments in July 2012.
