Gordon Farmer has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Gordon started their career in 2005 as a Corporate Finance Senior Analyst/Audit Senior at Anderson Anderson & Brown, where they worked on various clients in sectors such as transport, property, oil service, construction, and retail. In 2009, they joined Global Energy Group as a Senior Financial Officer/Group Financial Controller, where they played a key role in merger and acquisition activities. Gordon then served as an Investment Portfolio Manager, responsible for supporting portfolio companies within the group. In 2014, they became a Board Advisor at ANTA Scotland Limited, a family textiles business. In 2016, they held roles at Global Energy Group as Vice President and later as Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, they also served as the President of Reel Group for a brief period in 2016. In 2012, they participated in the Saltire Fellowship program, which focused on developing leadership skills in Scottish business.
Gordon Farmer earned a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from Robert Gordon University from 2001 to 2005. Gordon then pursued Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Babson College as a 2012 Saltire Fellow from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they completed their Chartered Accountancy education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants for Scotland from 2005 to 2008.
