Huda Shaka is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the Director of Urban Strategies and Planning for the GCC at Gehl - Making Cities for People since March 2023. As the Founder of The Green Urbanista since April 2015, Huda advises on sustainable development and urban initiatives. Huda is an active Research Fellow at the King Salman Center for Local Governance and holds board membership at THE NATURE OF CITIES INC and ISOCARP. Additional roles include a member of the Board of Advisors at the University of Birmingham Dubai and past advisory positions with The Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Royal Commission for Makkah City & Holy Sites.
