Carol Maxwell

Carol Maxwell is a skilled Restoration Ecologist with extensive experience in ecological restoration and landscape design. Currently employed at GEI Consultants, Inc. since November 2021, Maxwell previously held positions at AECOM as a Restoration Ecologist and Landscape Designer, and served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Ecological Restoration International, where duties included fostering connections among SER's Chapters and improving student engagement. Additional roles include Ecological Landscape Designer at Jeni Webber and Associates, and research assistant at Hochschule Osnabrueck, contributing to studies on urban community gardens. Maxwell holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture with a focus on ecological restoration from Temple University, along with degrees in ceramics and multicultural counseling. With a diverse background in sustainable design, Maxwell has also owned and operated Restore Resilience, engaging in urban gardening initiatives.
