Rajesh Akerkar

Rajesh Akerkar is a seasoned executive in financial systems engineering with extensive experience in technology and innovation across various industries. Currently serving as VP of Financial Systems Engineering at GEICO since November 2024, Rajesh is focused on re-platforming the insurance sector to enhance customer and partner experiences. Prior to GEICO, Rajesh held a pivotal role at Apple for over 20 years, where responsibilities included managing finance platform solutions capable of processing over 100 million transactions daily and directing the engineering of Apple’s Music Finance Royalty Services. Rajesh's background also includes leadership positions at Global Software Resources, OrderCare Inc., and Caresoft, where significant contributions were made in project delivery and product development. Educational credentials include advanced studies in Corporate Innovation from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
