Todd Combs

Todd Combs is president and chief executive officer of the GEICO companies. He is responsible for all insurance operations. Prior to being elected CEO in 2019, Combs had managed a multi-billion-dollar portfolio for Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO’s parent company, since 2010.

Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway, Combs worked as a pricing analyst at Progressive Insurance and then as an insurance analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. He then headed financial services at Copper Arch Capital until 2005, when he formed Castle Point Capital, a hedge fund, where he was director and CEO.

Combs serves on the JP Morgan Chase Board of Directors and retains his portfolio management responsibility for Berkshire Hathaway. He holds degrees in finance and multinational business operations from Florida State University and an MBA from Columbia University
