Jay Joseph

Faculty

Jay Joseph serves as the Palliative Medical Director and faculty member at Geisinger since September 2003, where responsibilities include leading the system's strategy for advance care planning and shared decision-making in serious illness using the Respecting Choices model. Prior to this role, Jay Joseph was a Family Physician and Hospice Medical Director with the US Army from July 2000 to July 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Thomas Jefferson University, a Master of Science (MS) in Palliative Care from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Penn State University.
