John Oast

John Oast, MS, CHPA, is the Director of Security Services at Geisinger Health System, leveraging 25 years of experience in law enforcement and security administration. Previously, John served as a Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Deputy at the Richmond City Sheriff's Office, and has held various managerial roles within Geisinger from 2013 to 2022. John also owns and publishes Susquehanna Fishing Magazine and is currently a member-at-large on the Board of Directors for the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. Educated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from George Mason University and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, John is certified in healthcare security and has expertise in community policing concepts.
