Supporting Local Potential
Geleentheid Trust identifies the top academic talent in Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Kuils River. Since 2008, we have focused on reducing financial barriers that keep high-potential learners from the quality secondary education they deserve. We don't just provide a bursary, because a high-quality education is much more than just that. We provide the foundation for a better future.

A Two-Year Journey with Candidates
We don't believe in quick fixes or last-minute bursary allocations. Our candidates enter a two‑year assessment and development programme involving psychometric testing, holiday workshops, and ongoing evaluation. We look for a consistent 70% aggregate, leadership potential, and a genuine financial need.

Comprehensive Support for High-Pressure Environments
Top schools demand more than just tuition. Our support covers school fees, uniforms, and textbooks, but it also includes the "extras" that ensure success: additional academic classes and weekly pocket money. We focus on the whole learner so they can adapt and flourish in demanding school environments.

Transparent, High‑Impact Giving
We run a lean, professional operation. As a Section 18A NPO with a 90% direct‑funding model, your donation is a highly efficient investment in local talent. Whether you are a firm looking for a reliable partner or an individual wanting to change a life trajectory, your contribution stays in the Winelands.
