Bastian Rietz

Bastian Rietz is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Executive Assistant to the CFO and involved in Board Projects at GELITA since January 2024. Prior to this role, Bastian held the position of Interim Head of Treasury for a carved-out mobile emissions catalysts business at BASF from October 2022 to January 2024. Bastian's prior experience includes significant leadership roles at MBCC Group as Vice President of Special Projects to the CFO and Vice President of Banking Relations, Cash Management & Hedging from April 2020 to September 2022. An extensive tenure at BASF from September 2010 to April 2020 included roles such as Director BASF Ireland, Head of BASF Ireland Financing Platform, and Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions, along with responsibilities in Accounting & Reporting. Bastian Rietz holds a Dipl.-Kaufmann degree in Business Administration and English Studies from the University of Mannheim and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Stirling.
