Melissa Krebs is the Founder and CEO of GelSana Therapeutics. Melissa has dedicated their career to biomedical engineering and improving the quality of life for those affected by disease.
Krebs’ journey in this field began at the Colorado School of Mines where they researched methods for early detection of disease. This led to a position as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Colorado Denver, where they worked on developing new therapeutics. In 2010, Krebs took a position as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Case Western Reserve University, where they conducted research on nanomedicine and tissue engineering.
In 2002, Krebs began working at Draper Laboratory as a Technical Staff member in the Bioengineering department. There, they worked on developing new technologies for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. In 2005, Krebs left Draper Laboratory to start their own company, GelSana Therapeutics.
GelSana Therapeutics is a biomedical engineering company that focuses on developing new therapies for a variety of diseases. The company’s mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected by disease and to make a positive impact on the healthcare industry.
Melissa Krebs has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
