Derek Woo

Derek Woo has extensive experience in software development and management roles. Derek currently serves as the Director of Software Development at Gelson's Markets, where they have significantly improved software stability and performance, and developed a new data integration platform. Prior to this, Derek worked at KPMG US as a Software Development Manager and Senior Software Developer, where they led various software development projects and implemented enhancements for Discovery Radar. Derek has also held senior software developer roles at ShoeDazzle and First American Software Solutions Group. Derek started their career as a Software Developer at First American Default Technologies and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona - Instructional & Information Technology.

Derek Woo's education history includes completing the Food Industry Management Program at USC Marshall School of Business in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems - Application Software Development from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2003. Derek also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Mt. San Antonio College, obtained between 1999 and 2001. Derek Woo's secondary education was completed at Pioneer High School from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their academic achievements, Derek Woo obtained a Certificate in Food Industry Management from USC Marshall School of Business in 2023.
