Can Gürel has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and business analysis. Can started their career at Hürriyet in 2000 as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2007. Can then joined Softtech as a Software Analyst for a brief period before transitioning to BSH Home Appliances Group as a Software Development Specialist. In 2011, Can joined the Gemak Group of Companies, initially serving as a Senior Software Engineer & Business Analyst, and later promoted to the role of Chief of System Development, which they currently hold.

Can Gürel received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul University between 1996 and 2000. Prior to that, they attended Ordu Anatolian High School from 1989 to 1996, focusing on Science and Mathematics.
