Chris Mallon

Chris Mallon has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Chris has worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Gemba Advantage since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Northrop Grumman from 2017 to 2020, where they held the position of Lead Software Engineer and Software Engineer. Before that, Chris worked at Connected Ventures Limited as a Software Engineer from 2015 to 2017. Their role involved working on a microservice-based data processing stack for a gambling advertisement provider, utilizing technologies like Golang, Google Cloud, and Hashicorp/Ansible. Chris also worked for the UK Government from 2008 to 2015 as a Software Developer and Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included experimental developments, front end GUIs, big data processing, and research on new technologies and frameworks.

Chris Mallon holds a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics from Newcastle University, which they completed from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science from the same university, attending from 2002 to 2006. Their high school education was completed at St Bede's RC Comprehensive School/Sixth Form from 1995 to 2002, where they earned their GSCEs and A-Levels. In addition to their formal education, Chris has also obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2023, SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2017, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in October 2020.
