Jan Willem Zwart

Jan Willem Zwart is an experienced manager and leader in various roles related to community, nature, and culture in the Netherlands. Currently serving as the Manager of the Waddenunit and Landelijk Strandingscoördinator Walvisachtigen at the Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit since December 2022, Zwart has also held key positions at gemeente Achtkarspelen, such as Ambassadeur Hortus van Friesland and Teamleider Samenleving since 2010. Zwart's extensive background includes roles in crisis management at Veiligheidsregio Fryslân, public relations at Fogelsangh State, and contributions to educational projects in Cameroon through SSKK. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Coaching and a background in Social Work, Zwart has led significant projects, including serving as the Project Director for B-Raphsody and as Regio-ambassadeur during Leeuwarden's Cultural Capital in 2018.
