Irene Piksen

Irene Piksen is a legal professional with extensive experience, currently serving as Jurist handhaving at Gemeente Almelo since January 2015. In this role, Irene has held various positions, including Juridisch medewerker Wmo & Jeugd and Juridisch medewerker bezwaar en beroep Participatiewet. Prior to this, Irene worked as a Professional Legal at EIFFEL and gained experience at Rechtbank Noord-Nederland and Rechtbank Groningen. Additionally, Irene contributed to academia as a student-assistant at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and mentored first-year students. Irene holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Nederlands Recht with specializations in Strafrecht and Staats- en Bestuursrecht from University of Amsterdam and University of Groningen.
