Niels Jong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public safety and crisis management. Currently serving as Beleidsmedewerker Openbare Orde & Veiligheid en Crisisbeheersing at Gemeente Almelo since December 2017, Niels Jong is responsible for the local crisis organization and acts as a policy advisor, focusing on the intersection of social issues and safety. Key areas of involvement include the implementation of policies addressing individuals with disturbed behavior, radicalization, housing nuisance, and youth disturbances, as well as the development of regional strategies to combat human trafficking.
