Roel Brand

Roel Brand is an experienced professional in information management and security, currently serving as Adviseur informatiemanagement and Chief Information Security Officer at Gemeente Deurne since September 2019, where the focus is on ensuring data availability, reliability, and security, while developing information security in line with the Baseline Informatiebeveiliging Overheid (BIO). Previously, Roel held roles as Senior Security Consultant at Isatis Cyber Security, guiding organizations toward AVG compliance and certifications, and as Security Officer and Privacy Officer at Intrasurance Group, where policies and processes for information security were established. Earlier experience includes IT Service Level Manager and Outsourcing Project Manager at Océ Technologies, managing critical systems availability and supporting approximately 2500 users. Roel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
