Currently, Wolfgang serves as a member of the landscape commission for gemeente Simpelveld, and holds positions in multiple committees related to spatial quality and nature in gemeenten Gemert-Bakel and Reusel-De Mierden. With expertise in urban green projects, Wolfgang has previously worked with the City Council of Viersen on enhancing urban natural quality. Educational qualifications include a Diplom-Ingenieur in Landespflege from the University of Duisburg-Essen, complemented by foundational training in landscape architecture and gardening from institutions in Germany and Belgium.

Gemert-Bakel is een uitgestrekte plattelandsgemeente en is met een oppervlakte van 12.362 hectare de grootste gemeente van de regio Eindhoven. De gemeente bestaat uit de kernen Gemert, Bakel, Elsendorp, Handel, Milheeze, De Mortel en De Rips. Zij heeft ruim 30.000 inwoners.
