Danny van der Roest

Danny van der Roest is an experienced professional specializing in behavioral change and sustainability. Currently serving as an Omgevings- en projectmanager Energietransitie at Gemeente Gouda, Danny focuses on the city’s goal of becoming gas-free and CO2-neutral by 2040, addressing both the technical and social challenges involved. As the founder of Maverick, Danny assists organizations in achieving behavioral change for social challenges, applying scientific insights to develop practical solutions. Previous roles include being a behavior expert at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, where Danny contributed to sustainable building practices and participated in various projects through the Behavioural Insights Team. Danny has also held positions at Unilever, Ecorys, and Public Focus, and has a strong academic background in behavioral change from Radboud University.
