Femke de Roode

Femke de Roode currently serves as the Stadsarcheoloog-Senior (Beleids)Adviseur Archeologisch Erfgoed at Gemeente Gouda since March 2020, bringing extensive practical experience in the research, management, preservation, and development of archaeological heritage. Previously, Femke held various senior roles in archaeology, including Stadsarcheoloog-Senior Adviseur Archeologie at Gemeente Nijmegen, and has worked at RAAP Archeologisch Adviesbureau and Provincie Gelderland. Femke's educational background includes a degree in Pre- en Protohistorie van Noordwest Europa with a specialization in medieval archaeology from Universiteit van Amsterdam and TU Delft. In addition to professional roles, Femke is actively involved in several advisory and executive positions, such as being a board member of Stichting Infrastructuur Kwaliteitsborging Bodembeheer and participating in E-RIHS initiatives.
