Maria le Roy

Maria le Roy has extensive experience in local governance, currently serving as wethouder at Gemeente Harlingen since 2010, with responsibilities encompassing spatial planning, housing, waterfront development, harbors and waterways, economic affairs, and recreation and tourism. Previously, Maria held the position of wethouder at Gemeente Sluis from 2007 to 2010 and served as statenlid and gedeputeerde for PvdA at Provincie Zeeland from 1997 to 2008. Additionally, Maria was a raadslid for PvdA/Progressief Hontenisse at gemeente Hontenisse from 1992 to 1997. Educational background includes training at Kunstacademie and a teacher training program.
