Gijs Nouwens

Gijs Nouwens is an experienced urban planner and advisor specializing in the living environment and environmental law. Since December 2012, Gijs Nouwens has served as an advisor at BuroGkracht and is the initiator of the Gkracht team. Gijs Nouwens holds multiple positions, including interim urban planner for the municipalities of Valkenswaard, Vught, and Neder-Betuwe since 2023, 2021, and 2015 respectively. Additionally, Gijs Nouwens is a member of the monument committee for the municipality of Hilvarenbeek and previously contributed to the aesthetics and monument committee of the municipality of Oisterwijk. Earlier roles include project leader for the living environment in Gennep and various leadership positions in educational settings. Gijs Nouwens holds an engineering degree in urban planning from Fontys Academy for Architecture and Urban Planning and has further educational experience at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Avans University of Applied Sciences.
