Anna van Steenbergen

Anna van Steenbergen is a seasoned professional with a strong background in health, sports, and child development policy. Since October 2021, Anna has served as a beleidsadviseur at Gemeente Huizen, focusing on health and animal welfare, as well as sports and recreation. Prior experience includes roles at Koopman Optima B.V. where Anna contributed to multiple policy documents related to youth and social domains. Anna has also worked at the Universiteit Leiden as a researcher and project coordinator within the Brain and Development Research Center, focusing on cognitive and social development from infancy to adolescence. With a Master of Science in Applied Neuroscience in Education and Child Studies from Leiden University, along with earlier educational credentials in pedagogical sciences and economics, Anna combines research expertise with practical policy implementation.
