Roger Smeets

Roger Smeets is a seasoned environmental and permit advisor with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in Permits and Environmental Green Gas at ENGIE Energie Nederland NV, Roger also advises on environmental matters for Gemeente Molenlanden and operates as a freelance environmental consultant through Smeets Omgevingsadvies. Roger's previous roles include strategic policy officer for landfills at Provincie Noord-Brabant, senior permit issuer and coordinator at Omgevingsdienst Zuidoost-Brabant, and various positions in permit issuance and policy development at different governmental levels. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Technology from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences.
