Remko van Velzen

Remko van Velzen is an experienced project leader in civil engineering, currently serving at Gemeente Pijnacker-Nootdorp and Gemeente Schiedam since 2023 and 2020 respectively. As the owner of Van Velzen Projecten en Advies since 2020, Remko has led various civil engineering projects, including road reconstructions and traffic safety improvements in the Westland region. Previous roles include project leadership at Gemeente Westland, focusing on civil and traffic engineering projects, and design work at Ingenieursbureau Zuid-Holland. Early career experience includes work as a preparer at Rijkswaterstaat. Remko holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag, attained in 1996.
