Rens van Den Berg

Rens van den Berg is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in spatial planning and legal matters. Currently a Senior Jurist at Provincie Zuid-Holland since June 2016, Rens also works as a trainer at RensT focusing on the Omgevingswet, participation, conflict mediation, and intervision from September 2023. Rens serves as the chairman of the Regional Appeals Committee for the service municipality of Dordrecht and holds a similar position for the appeals committee in the municipality of Ridderkerk, alongside roles as a committee member for Barendrecht, Albrandswaard, and Zwijndrecht. Rens contributes as a neighborhood mediator for Buurtbemiddeling de Sociale basis since 2019. Previous experience includes a program leader position for spatial development and legal affairs at De Gemeente Schiermonnikoog and senior policy advisor roles in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Rens holds a law degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has pursued further education in training and development.
