Edwin van Eersel

Edwin van Eersel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Edwin currently works as the Lead Architect Data & Analytics at Gemeente Rotterdam, where they are responsible for designing and developing the data platform architecture vision. Prior to this, they served as an ICT Solution Architect, contributing to the development of the IT environment and strategic roadmap of the organization.

Earlier in their career, Edwin worked at ROOM Rotterdam BV, where they held multiple roles including IT Specialist, Web Developer, Finance Manager, and Online Marketing. During their time there, they were involved in setting up the company network, building and maintaining the company website, and managing finance and online marketing activities.

Edwin also has experience working at Oxyma as a Client Infrastructure Manager and Customer Process Manager, where they were responsible for technology infrastructure and managing client processes. Edwin worked as a Database Marketeer at KPN and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Accenture Technology Solutions.

Additionally, Edwin has worked at Unilever as an Operations Controller ETL, at Shell in various roles including Teamlead Conversion and Conversion Specialist, at Tebodata as a Consultant, and at IBAS as a Consultant Business Development.

Throughout their career, Edwin has gained expertise in areas such as data architecture, IT infrastructure, web development, finance, online marketing, and client management.

Edwin van Eersel obtained their MSc degree in Economics and Marketing from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Edwin also obtained additional certifications in Architectuur Academy from Adviesgroep Novius and ITIL v3.0 Foundation from APMG International in the years 2020 and 2016 respectively.
