Reino Petrona has a range of experience in the healthcare and IT sectors. Most recently, Reino was the Chief Data Officer at Gemeente Rotterdam, starting in 2023. Prior to that, Reino served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Stichting Ocan from 2021 to 2023. From 2022 to 2023, Reino worked at Pathan b.v. as the Manager of Information and Automation, where they were responsible for automation, information policy, and information management, with a focus on digitalization and artificial intelligence in pathology diagnostics. Reino also held the position of Concern Information Manager/CIO at RDOG HM from 2016 to 2022, overseeing various health-related tasks in the Hollands Midden region. Earlier in their career, Reino worked at VUmc as an Information Manager and Project Manager, and at Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a Healthcare Advisor. Reino began their career as a Consultant at VIR e-Care Solutions, gaining experience in electronic patient records implementation and healthcare legislation.
Reino Petrona attended Scholengemeenschap Reigersbos from 1991 to 1997, where they completed their Atheneum degree. They then went on to study at the University of Amsterdam from 1997 to 2002, earning a Msc. degree in Medical Informatics.
