Antoinette Laan

Antoinette Laan currently serves as Wethouder en locoburgemeester at Gemeente Schiedam since April 2021, overseeing areas such as leefbare wijken, Wonen, Ruimtelijke Ordening, and Financiën. Previously, Laan was a member of the Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal representing the VVD from November 2017 to March 2021, focusing on Ruimtelijke Ordening and Safety issues. Laan has held significant roles in the Gemeente Rotterdam, including Fractievoorzitter and Wethouder, where responsibilities included culture and sports. Additional experience includes board positions at Kenniscentrum Sport and Mediawijzer.net, and earlier roles in the Nederlandse Ambassade Pretoria and the Ministerie van BZK.
