Chiel Verbruggen

Chiel Verbruggen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic policy and program management. Currently serving as Programma Manager Havens and Senior Account Manager at Gemeente Schiedam since June 2021, Chiel previously worked as Beleidsadviseur Economische Zaken at Gemeente Westland from 2004 to June 2021, focusing on spatial economic policy for work locations and promoting entrepreneurial networks while facilitating the transition from fossil to renewable energy. Earlier roles include Beleidsmedewerker Economische Zaken at gemeente Monster, Juridisch Medewerker at Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland, Gerechtsdeurwaarderskantoor Rosmalen, and Interpolis. Chiel holds a degree from Tilburg University (1992 - 1997) and has completed a Summer School program at Universiteit van Utrecht.
