Laurens Priester

Laurens Priester has extensive experience in municipal archival work and crisis communication, serving as a municipal archivist at Gemeentearchief Schiedam since June 1999, while also holding multiple roles within the gemeente Schiedam, including Hoofd Taakorganisatie Crisiscommunicatie and team manager positions across various departments. Priester has led initiatives such as the Commissie Naamgeving Openbare Ruimte and managed projects in urban development and promotion. Additionally, Laurens Priester has contributed to cultural endeavors as the Voorzitter of Stichting Westvest90, promoting classical chamber music for over 20 years. Previous roles include general secretary at C&FC Hermes-D.V.S., editor of a cultural magazine, and involvement with the Kring van Zuid-Hollandse Archivarissen. Laurens Priester holds degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Rijksarchiefschool.
