Roland Thiels

Sr. Beleidsmedewerker Veiligheid at Gemeente Valkenswaard

Roland Thiels has extensive experience in public safety and policy development, currently serving as the program leader for undermining at the collaboration within the basic team Dommelstroom since November 2018. In addition, Roland has held the position of senior policy officer for safety at the Gemeente Valkenswaard since January 2007, where responsibilities include policy development and coordination of implementation, advising on public order and safety, addressing undermining issues, and serving as the Bibob coordinator. Prior roles include policy officer for legal affairs at the gemeente Someren, where Roland coordinated safety and disaster response, and as a staff member for general affairs and disaster response at the gemeente Geldrop-Mierlo. Roland obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from Avans Hogeschool Den Bosch and completed additional studies at the Bestuursacademie Zuid Nederland.
